Founded in 2002 by William Chase, a British farmer turned entrepreneur, Tyrrells was born from the idea of adding value to his farms potatoes by hand-cooking them into high-quality crispsnamed after his family farm.

Tyrrells crisps are made in small batches, hand-cooked using locally sourced potatoes and natural ingredients. Their first flavor, Lightly Sea Salted, showcased the true taste of British potatoes enhanced by local sea salt.

Ownership Changes, Core Values Intact

William sold Tyrrells in 2008 to Langholm Capital, and over time it passed through several handsincluding Investcorp, Amplify Brands, and today KP Snacks. Despite this, Tyrrells remains committed to its roots: small-batch production and premium British ingredients.
