Amelia Chardonnay is one of Chiles most refined white wines, created by the renowned winery Concha y Toro. First released in 1993, this wine is made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Quebrada Seca vineyard of the Limarí Valley, located just 22 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean.
The cool Mediterranean climate, influenced by ocean breezes, allows grapes to ripen slowly, preserving acidity and developing vibrant, fresh flavors.

Meticulous Winemaking Process
Amelia Chardonnay begins with careful hand-selection of grapes. It is fermented in French oak barrelsonly 10% newto preserve balance and subtlety. The wine undergoes 8 days of fermentation and is then aged for 12 months in oak, followed by another 6 months in bottle before release.
The result is a well-structured wine, offering notes of vanilla, butter, and almond, layered with crisp green apple, pear, and pineapple. It is smooth on the palate with bright acidity and refined complexity.
Critically Acclaimed Vintage
The 2019 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay received 96 points from Decanter magazine in 2021, the highest-rated Chilean white wine in that report. Critic Amanda Barnes described its bouquet as filled with lavender, granite, and jasminecapturing the true spirit of Limarí Valley.
Amelia Chardonnay has also earned consistent scores above 90 from critics like James Suckling and Wine Spectator, solidifying its reputation as one of Latin Americas top white wines.
