Bud's
Bud's is a premium ice cream brand that originated in San Francisco, USA. It stands out for its selection of high-quality ingredients and a unique formula that emphasizes rich flavor and freshness. Currently, Bud's offers over 50 flavors and is recognized as one of the best ice creams in the world, with over 90 years of experience and a consistently high production standard.
The Passionate Beginning in San Francisco
The story of Bud's began in 1932 when two young men with a passion for ice cream, Bud Scheidelman and his cousin Alvin Edlin, together opened a small ice cream parlor in San Francisco. Both had previous experience working in ice cream shops and had absorbed valuable insights in the field.
However, with the outbreak of World War II, the cousins had to temporarily suspend their business to serve in the military. After the war ended in 1946, they reopened their ice cream shop, naming it Bud's Ice Cream, and began developing an ice cream formula focused on the highest quality. Their slogan was The Finest Ingredients And Too Much of Them, reflecting their commitment to using the best ingredients and in generous quantities.
They dedicated themselves to inventing their own ice cream recipes and meticulously selecting ingredients, from fresh milk and cream to fresh fruits, nuts, chocolate, and other components. Everything had to be of the highest quality to create an ice cream with a superior taste compared to competitors. This dedication set Bud's ice cream apart from typical ice creams of that era, which often prioritized quantity over quality. As a result, TIME magazine praised it as one of the worlds best ice creams.
With its beloved flavors and consistent quality, Bud's ice cream quickly gained popularity in San Francisco. Soon, its reputation began to spread, and customers continuously flocked to the small shop to savor its deliciousness.
Global Expansion: Bud's in Thailand
During the 1950s, Bud's began expanding its branches and building larger production facilities to meet the continuously growing demand. Additionally, Bud's expanded its market to the Asian region. American Food Company Limited (AFC) in Thailand secured the rights to produce and distribute Bud's ice cream in the ASEAN region.
American Food Company established a modern ice cream production plant in Pathum Thani province, adapting the original San Francisco formulas with high-quality local ingredients in Thailand. Bud's products manufactured in Thailand maintain global standards in terms of taste, variety, and ingredient quality.
The American Food Company's production plant in Thailand has received several international certifications, including GMP, Halal, and US standards, ensuring the quality and safety of its products. Furthermore, they continuously develop production technology to produce premium ice cream in large quantities while maintaining the highest quality.
